ABOUT THE PLAY

The elusive nature of truth, the subjectivity of reality and the existential quality of life are all to be found in Pirandello's plays. Pirandello's struggle with his wife''s madness forced him to question the nature of perception and in his dramas the themes are presented as human experience rather than philosophies. In this play the antidotes to such an experience are humility and compassion. Laudisi says "Let me urge you to respect what others see and touch even if it is the exact opposite of what you yourself see and touch".

Everyone is right, if they think so.
