Plague! The Musical
Catch it while you can!
After 350 years, Plague! is returning to London before spreading up to the Edinburgh Fringe.

It is 1665 and wannabe actor Clive Hucklefish is mugged and left for dead within moments of arriving in London. His obvious gullibility lands him a job with destitute undertaker Phil Anbury and his devil-may-care assistant, Jerry Muldoon. But when Clive falls for the Alchemist’s beautiful daughter, Isabella, Clive finds himself embroiled in an ancient feud between those who would profit from death, and those who would end death forever.

With the undertaking business going under due to a lack of fresh stock, Clive finds himself penniless and out on the street. But his fortunes are about to change, for it is not long before he is approached by a mysterious stranger with an interest in unmarked graves, and an offer Clive cannot refuse…

The Great Plague strikes London with terrible ferocity, littering the streets and byways with the precious dead. The undertakers find themselves rich beyond their wildest dreams but, when Isabella catches the disease, Clive is forced to take action.

Plague! is the epic story of one man’s fall and redemption, full of romance and dark laughs that all the family can enjoy, and featuring a rogue’s gallery of druids, beggars, undertakers and mutant rats.

This is the chance to be the very first to see an all-new comedy musical featuring a professional cast, before it sweeps up to C venues for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008.
