In 1900 Sweden, lawyer Fredrik Egerman has married a pretty young bride who is several years his junior and remains a virgin after 11 months of marriage. His melancholy son, only two years older than his new stepmother, is also romantically attracted to her.
On a chance reconnection, Egerman's old flame, the celebrated actress Desiree Armfeldt, happily offers him a release from his sexual frustration. And at a weekend in the country these tangled romances unfold in surprising ways.
Featuring the classic song Send in the Clowns, A Little Night Music is a charming, sophisticated musical by the legendary composer Stephen Sondheim.
