Come on board for an evening of comedy, well-known songs and catchy music. HMS Pinafore is a sea-faring tale of love and prejudice, above and below decks, with assignations resolved by official pronouncements that love levels all things. Or does it?
Julian Light Operatic Society’s 70th anniversary production pokes fun at party politics, the Navy, and the rise of unqualified people to positions of authority – and is as relevant today as when the piece was first written.
This traditional production also reflects the technical advances from those like Brunel, Jules Verne and HG Wells in the late Victorian era.
Directed by Fraser Grant, with full orchestra under the direction of Jack Wong.
