The Marquee Club's history is closely intertwined with Ealing. A few hundred metres from The Questors Theatre sits the original location of the Ealing Club - The Traditional Home of British Rhythm & Blues from where Alexis Korner & Cyril Davies kickstarted the British Blues Boom of the 1960's. Their success opened doors for 'electric blues guitar' at the Marquee 'Jazz' Club & others that were reluctant to host amplified blues guitar. The Ealing Club became a launch pad for The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Paul Jones, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
