Teaching will be done in groups, pairs and individually. All of these topics will be taught by industry specialists in their field, looking to share their knowledge and experience with our AFA students.

Jessica Balmer will be the course leader and along with teaching some sessions, will be the first point of contact, organise the timetable and liaising with the specialists to create a professional learning environment.

Jess is an actor by trade and worked very closely with various organisations such as The National Youth Theatre, White City Theatre Project, KIT Theatre and South Hill Park. She has a wealth of experience in running workshops, courses, masterclasses. Over the years I have worked with NYT as a course assistant, progressing to become a lead facilitator on their intake courses and masterclasses.

Jess leads with a ‘Can-Do’ and ‘Let’s Try It’ attitude and is committed to making sure AFA is a successful and memorable experience for all involved, bringing an open mind, enthusiasm for the unknown and what can be discovered there and my love for stories and theatre.
