American recording artist, Dean Friedman, known for chart-topping hits like Ariel, Lucky Stars and Lydia, has written the words, music and book to a brand new kids musical.
Smelly Feet tells the very silly tale of Danny and his best friend Pete and their ridiculous quest to find a cure for Pete's "smelly feet". The show is aimed at kids aged 3 to 8, and was described by The Stage as "a happy-go-lucky family show"!
It is a toe-tickling, tune-humming kids musical that debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to rave reviews and sold-out performances. It will be performed by a talented cast of London-based actors, under the direction of Dominique Gerrard, and is scheduled to tour the UK from April through June 2015.
Friedman also composes and produces music soundtracks for TV and film, including the music to the hit Central TV series Boon and the soundtrack to the underground cult horror film classic I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle (Hobo Films/U.K.) in which he performs the unforgettable track She Runs on Blood, Not Gasoline. In addition to his songwriting and recording efforts, Friedman designs interactive attractions for museums and theme parks that have been enjoyed by millions of children around the world. His Music Atrium instruments have been featured at the Eureka! Children's Museum, Halifax and his Virtual Volleyball game has been featured at the Science Museum of London. Friedman is based in Peekskill, NY and tours the UK, once a year.
