The Etheric Players & As the Crow Flies presentRain on Water
by Mike HadjipaterasDrama with live music
Rain on Water tells the story of the original five women who walked from Cardiff to RAF base Greenham Common in 1981 to protest against the imminent arrival of nuclear cruise missiles.
These missiles were sent by the US military as part of western Europe's deterrent policy in its ideological battle with the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Although the site in Berkshire eventually became a worldwide magnet for anti-nuclear protestors and peace activists, the play focuses on the early weeks of the "occupation".
Combining live music with a cast largely drawn from Questors acting members, this promises to be a memorable and enjoyable experience.
