Acting for All
Acting for All (AFA) will introduce you to the tools and methods that actors use in developing their characters.
In a series of weekly workshops, you'll be introduced to:
- The Tools of the Actor
- Improvisation
- Movement and its Place in Theatre
- Scene Studies (taking scenes from productions and working them through)
- Voice and How to Use It
- Voice Acting for Audio Drama
All of these topics will be taught by specialists in their field and at the end of the course you'll have the opportunity to showcase your work to an invited audience.
How will I be taught and by whom?
Teaching
will be done in groups, pairs and individually. Paul Whiting will be
your head tutor and he will be accompanied by a host of specialist mentors. Paul began his acting at QYT (Questors Youth Theatre) before
going onto the Questors Academy. He then studied at Rose Bruford
College of Theatre & Performance, and today works professionally. He
is a founding member of the sketch-comedy companies The Errors of
Comedy and Interference.
