Connect2Me

A Fun-Filled, Interactive Experience with Music, Drama, Movement & Learning!

Creating joyful connections and meaningful learning moments for children with disabilities and their siblings.

What to Expect in Our 60-Minute Session:
Join us for a warm, welcoming group session where creativity, communication, and connection come together through a mix of music, storytelling, drama, and movement. This inclusive space encourages siblings of children with special needs to join in, play, and grow together.

Session Outline:
  • A Warm Welcome (All Together): We’ll start with a cheerful hello song featuring each child’s name, observing their responses and creating a personal connection.
  • Name Discovery Activity: Children will be shown the first letter of their name using wooden letters and invited to trace them—building early literacy and confidence.
  • Introduction to the Day:
We’ll explain our format:
Storytime, interactive stations (Music, Movement, Drama/Art), and a final performance!
  • Magical Storytime: The Rainbow Fish
Children will meet characters from the story, explore emotions, and learn new vocabulary in a fun, engaging way.
  • Vocabulary & Makaton Signs: Key words from the story will be introduced through movement, visuals, and Makaton signing. Each child will receive a take-home word bank.
  • Explore the Stations:
In small groups, children will rotate through:
  • Music Station – Discover rhythms, instruments, and songs.
  • Drama/Art Station – Create costumes or props for our mini-show.
  • Movement Station – Learn fishy moves and expressive actions!
  • Finale Performance – The Rainbow Fish (Last 15 Minutes):
All children will come together to perform a short, joyful drama piece using the signs, movements, and costumes they created.
  • A Thoughtful Goodbye:
Each child will take home:
  • A vocabulary word bank
  • Makaton signs to practice
  • A costume piece
  • New movements and memories!

Why Join Us?
This session is designed to nurture language development, social interaction, and creative expression, all in a supportive, inclusive setting. Siblings will have the chance to bond, collaborate, and share in a meaningful experience together.
